Itinerary for Kashmir Trip with Vaishno Devi
(Jammu – Katra – Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar – Pahalgam – Srinagar – Sonmarg – Srinagar)

Day 1: Jammu to Katra.
After your arrival at Jammu, one of the representatives of Corners of Earth shall meet you and initiate your journey towards Katra. Katra, a small town in Jammu and Kashmir, is the place from where the 14 km long trek route to Vaishno Devi Cave Temple starts. Upon your arrival at Katra, you will be taken to your hotel to complete all the necessary hotel check-in formalities. Overnight stay at Katra.
Day 2: Katra to Vaishno Devi Temple and back.
Vaishno Devi temple can be reached from Katra in 3 different ways. You can either opt for a helicopter service, go on a pony or hike the distance on foot. For those who want to go there walking, we recommend them to start early in the morning before sunrise because as the day progresses the temple becomes more crowded. Hence, the early you start, the early you can come back. After Vaishno Devi darshan, you will come back to your hotel at Katra for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Katra to Srinagar.
Early in the morning, we shall start for Srinagar via the 2.85 km long Jawahar tunnel (Banihal tunnel). The tunnel is considered to be the gateway to the paradise Kashmir. On our way towards Srinagar, we will stop at Patnitop to give you a blissful feeling of the place. After crossing the Jawahar tunnel, we will stop at the Titanic View Point from where you can get a magnificent view of the Kashmir valley with the Himalayan ranges at its backdrop. We shall reach at Srinagar during the evening time. Overnight stay in a hotel/houseboat in Srinagar.
Day 4: Srinagar to Gulmarg and back.
After breakfast, we shall initiate our journey for Gulmarg. Gulmarg, a small hill station, located at an altitude of 8,690 feet is home to some of the beautiful valleys of the country. During winter seasons, the place attracts a large number of people interested in winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, etc. One can also enjoy a Gondola ride (a cable car ride) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg. The Maharani Temple, St. Mary’s Church and the Golf Course are the prime attractions of Gulmarg. After the day’s tour, we shall come back to Srinagar for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Srinagar to Pahalgam and back.
Soon after having breakfast, we shall take you to a beautiful small town of this state Pahalgam. This hill station is located at an altitude of 7,200 feet and is known for its beautiful landscapes. Every year, thousands of tourists start their journey for annual Amarnath Yatra from this place. On our way towards Pahalgam, we shall stop at Saffron field and Avantipur ruins, which is believed to be the ruins of an eleven hundred years old temple. We shall reach Pahalgam by noon, and after having lunch you may proceed for a local sightseeing and enjoy the charm of the beautiful green valley. You can go to the Kolhoi Glacier, a hanging glacier situated at the Lidder valley beneath the Kolhoi peak. Betaab valley through which the Lidder river passes shouldn’t be missed. The place got its name from the Bollywood movie Betaab which was filmed here. After the day’s trip, we shall come back to Srinagar for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Srinagar to Sonmarg and back.
After breakfast, we will proceed towards Sonmarg. Sonmarg is located at an altitude of 9,200 feet and offers majestic views of the green valleys with the snow clad mountains at their backdrops. Sonmarg has plenty of trekking trails and you can involve yourself in a short trail to reach the glaciers around this hill station. After lunch, we shall start for Srinagar and on the way, we shall stop at the Hazratbal Mosque situated near Dal Lake. Overnight stay at Srinagar.
Day 7: Departure from Srinagar.
After breakfast or at your preferred time, we shall drop you at the Srinagar Airport or at any other place from where you will be starting your outward journey from Srinagar. Your trip to heavenly Jammu and Kashmir with Corners of Earth shall end here, and we are quite sure that you will go back home with a lot of memorable experiences.
