It is located at an altitude of 10,100 feet on the lower terrains of the Himalayas. Zuluk is a small village surrounded by virgin, wild forests. The famous Silk Route that connects Lhasa with Kalimpong goes through this place. Even a few decades ago, traders made use of this route to import and export materials. However, after the Chinese occupation of Tibet, the use of this Silk Route for the purpose of trade has been stopped. The road through Zuluk makes almost 32 hairpin turns to reach Lungthung.
