Itinerary for Srinagar – Pahalgam – Gulmarg – Sonmarg – Srinagar
Day 1: Arrival at Srinagar followed by sightseeing of Srinagar.
After your arrival at Srinagar, our representative will guide you to your hotel/houseboat. In the afternoon, you may enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake. The sight of the Zabarwan Range, which is a short sub-mountain range between Pir Panjal and great Himalayan Range enhances the beauty of this heavenly place. There are several points on this lake that you may visit. The floating gardens, floating markets and the houseboats are the prime attractions of this lake. In the evening, you may go for shopping around the city. Overnight stay in a houseboat/hotel at Srinagar.
Day 2: Srinagar to Pahalgam.
Soon after having breakfast, we shall take you to a beautiful small town of this state Pahalgam. This hill station is located at an altitude of 7,200 feet and is known for its beautiful landscapes. Every year, thousands of tourists start their journey for annual Amarnath Yatra from this place. On our way towards Pahalgam, we shall stop at Saffron field and Avantipur ruins, which is believed to be the ruins of an eleven hundred years old temple. We shall reach Pahalgam by noon, and after having lunch you may proceed for a local sightseeing and enjoy the charm of the beautiful green valley. Overnight stay at Pahalgam.
Day 3: Pahalgam to Gulmarg.
After breakfast, we shall initiate our journey for Gulmarg. Gulmarg, a small hill station, located at an altitude of 8,690 feet is home to some of the beautiful valleys of the country. During winter seasons, the place attracts a large number of people interested in winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, etc. One can also enjoy a Gondola ride (a cable car ride) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg. The Maharani Temple, St. Mary’s Church and the Golf Course are the prime attractions of Gulmarg. Overnight stay at Gulmarg.
Day 4: Gulmarg sightseeing followed by getting back to Srinagar.
After breakfast, we shall guide you in your local sightseeing tour. We shall visit the highest golf course in the world located at Gulmarg. We shall also take you to Harmukh and Sunset Peak. After completing the sightseeing tour, we will proceed for Srinagar. Overnight stay at Srinagar.
Day 5: Srinagar sightseeing.
After breakfast, we shall proceed for a city tour of Srinagar. We shall take you to the world famous Mughal Gardens – Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh and the Chasme Shahi Garden. You will also get to see the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, considered to be Asia’s largest tulip garden. If you visit Srinagar in the month of April, you can enjoy the tulip festival. Overnight stay at Srinagar.
Day 6: Srinagar to Sonmarg and back.
After breakfast, we will proceed towards Sonmarg. Sonmarg is located at an altitude of 9,200 feet and offers majestic views of the green valleys with the snow clad mountains at their backdrops. Sonmarg has plenty of trekking trails and you can involve yourself in a short trail to reach the glaciers around this hill station. After lunch, we shall start for Srinagar and on the way, we shall stop at the Hazratbal Mosque situated near Dal Lake. Overnight stay at Srinagar.
Day 7: Departure from Srinagar.
After breakfast or at your preferred time, we shall drop you at the Srinagar Airport or at any other place from where you will be starting your outward journey from Srinagar. Your trip to heavenly Jammu and Kashmir with Corners of Earth shall end here, and we are quite sure that you will go back home with a lot of memorable experiences.
